Manning Family Session | Oahu, Hawaii

It’s always so rewarding when a family comes back for another session. When I first met the Manning family they HAD just gotten too Oahu. A fellow photographer let me tag along for their session, and they were so sweet to work with. I think little Mila was 5-6 months old? She was so sweet and smiley! We had an AMAZING Hawaiian sunset, the sun rays we’re just incredible. We stayed pretty late, and the sky turned this pink color. It fit them so well since they love a Sunset oh, so much.

Fast forward:  Mila was in the exact mood my toddler was for pictures LOL… which was no mood at all. Sometimes kids are just not in the mood, and THAT’S OKAY! I always follow the children’s lead. Whenever they’re ready for snuggles and kisses the fun really begins. Mila really loves the beach, and this sweet family actually tries to watch the sunset together every weekend. After all if you haven’t ever seen a Hawaiian sunset you haven’t really experienced the magic!  She was having a ball just sitting down, and exploring this little cave. She then snuggled up next to mama, and was all giggles.

Also, I seriously love this picture so much! I think it’s so adorable and you can just see the love. Robert doing the kissy face, and Amber so excitingly waiting for his kiss.

I really try to befriend my clients to build that trust between us. I really am genuinely interested in your life, and I tend to find out we have things in common. Amber is actually really crafty, and so am I (believe it or not lol). She makes the cutest cookies that I could never even imagine making. Amber has an eye for fashion that’s for sure! She put her family outfits together for their session all by herself, and I’m obsessed with her dress. It was so stunning on her that I actually added it to my client wardrobe. I tried buying it off her, but I could see why she’d want to keep it LOL. She is seriously the sweetest, so easy to talk to, and I can’t wait to have them back. As a fellow military family, I hope to run into this sweet family again :).

Surprise, surprise, they’re actually a Disney loving family. They’re also planning to head over to Tokyo Disneyland! How exciting is that? I actually showed Amber a pair of Disney ears I made for our trip. I’ll be posting all the DIY things in my next blog so don’t miss it!

For now here are some of my favorite memories from their family session:
